Blood Sugar and Hormone Disruption:

Are you experiencing dizziness, nausea, irritability, lack of focus, anxiety, headaches,
or  blurred vision? These  are a few of the signs that your blood sugar is too low. Called
hypoglycemia, low blood sugar is very common.  A number of different factors can
cause hypoglycemia, including certain medications and diet.

Hypoglycemia during the night may cause you to
wake up tired or with a headache.
And you may have nightmares. Or you may
sweat so much during the night that your
pajamas or sheets are damp when you wake up.

The body regulates its glucose levels with the actions of many different hormones.
These hormones come from the liver, kidney, adrenal glands and pancreas. While most
physicians only look at the pancreas, problems originating from the liver and kidneys
are quite common and treatable.

One of the most common causes of low blood sugar is
adrenal fatigue. The adrenals
help control blood sugar in a fasting state(between meals) The adrenal glands release a
stress hormone called epinephrine (or adrenalin).  Epinephrine elevates blood sugar
levels by making glucose available for the body during a time of stress. When this
mechanism is not working properly, hypoglycemia can result.

Other adrenal hormones, like cortisol,  also help in raising the level of blood glucose. A
person with adrenal fatigue cannot make adequate levels of cortisol and/or adrenaline.

Identifying the root cause of your blood sugar problem is the key to repairing your
health. Many other treatments fail because they are targeting only the symptoms and
not the originating problem area. We utilize several testing methods such as blood
saliva testing, computerized EAV to get to the root cause of your problem.

Treatment for liver or kidney revolve around detoxing and restoring proper function.
Herbs such as milk thistle and burdock root help repair liver function.

Treatment for adrenal stress revolves around lifestyle management (timing of meals,
amount of sleep and exercise), identifying any food sensitivities, and using nutritional
support to strengthen adrenal function. Supplements such as vitamins B5, B6 and C,
whole-root licorice extract and certain forms of ginseng can all be supportive.

We look at the whole body when determining why you are having blood sugar issues
which is why we have great success with this issue.
